Early Remington 1100 Trap 12 Gauge Double Beaded 26"Vented Rib Barrel Fixed Skeet Choke - Excellent Condition
Early Remington 1100 Skeet 12 gauge 26” vented double beaded barrel with fixed skeet choke. Both the metal and furniture are in excellent condition. The gun was produced in 1983. The buttstock has a LOP of 14 3/8" and is made of high-grade high-gloss American walnut. The barrel has original bluing, which is in excellent condition. Mechanically in solid condition.
Overview:
The Remington 1100 Trap model, a version of the Remington 1100, was first produced in 1963. It was made in three grades, the T being the highest grade. It was one of the initial configurations offered alongside the Field and Trap models when the 1100 was first introduced.
The Remington 1100 was designed by Wayne Leek and Robert Kelley. It was initially offered in 12 gauge only, with 16 and 20-gauge versions added in 1964. The 1100 Skeet-T, specifically, was designed for skeet shooting and featured a shorter barrel and different stock dimensions compared to the Field and Trap models.
The 1100 became incredibly popular, especially in skeet and trap shooting, and was known for its reliability and low recoil. It's been produced in various configurations and gauges over the years, and remains a popular choice for both target shooting and hunting.
