Description:
Very rare U.S. Revolver, “ Bicycle Model “ Made by Iver Johnson.  .32 S&W  short, 5 shot,  small frame, double action top break hammerless revolver. Blue finish , Double top latch , raised rib round barrel, auto ejecting.  C&R OK

Introducing the small frame .32 hammerless revolver, a true gem from the late 19th century. This particular model, serial number 57334 , was produced in 1914. Only 14,250 made that year.  These were manufactured for just 14 years. This was a special order , Bicycle model,  in Blue finish with a factory 2” barrel.   The bicycle model was very popular with women back in the day to carry in a handbag or in a holster worn below the knee for personal protection.

US revolvers were made without the coil hammer spring,  without the Safety hammer to hammer line of the Iver Johnson and did not have the safety trigger. Also produced with a two piece hammer only incorporated on the US hammerless models. Some Very rare 2” barrels ( bicycle model ) in .22 RF , in the hammer version,  have been seen,  but no .22 RF hammerless versions were ever produced. The Iver Johnson , US model Revolvers,  were only produced for the various mail order houses such as Sears, Roebuck & Co. and Montgomery Ward.

Features:
Double top post latch
Threaded cylinder bushing
Optional 2” barrel
Optional Blue finish
Free wheeling cylinder, no cylinder stop
Hard rubber grips with US logo
Raised rib barrel
.32 S&W

This was a special order , Bicycle model,  in Blue finish with a factory 2” barrel. The bicycle model was very popular with women,  back in the day,  to carry in a handbag or in a holster worn below the knee.

Condition: 2” raised rib round barrel with a nice bore showing very minor spot pitting  and still retains very good rifling. The Blue finish has faded to a nice plum brown patina with some ridge wear and light handling makes , still in nice condition. Barrel markings are not present, auto ejecting works fine, Revolver retains all matching numbers. Mechanics, work very nice in double action with tight barrel to frame fit and appears to have good timing. A little cylinder play at lock-up. These had free wheeling cylinders.
Original U.S. monogramed black checkered hard rubber grips are in excellent condition with only minor wear.
Despite its age, for 110 years this revolver appears to be in nice condition and has been well-maintained.  It's a nice addition to any antique firearm collection or for those who appreciate a classic piece of history.

This early 1900 model revolver is an excellent example of a rare and historically significant firearm from the turn of the century.   Don't miss your chance to own a piece of history.
