Payment Types Accepted: checks, cashiers/bank check, money order Description: EXCEPTIONALLY RARE TARGET SIGHTED .32 HAND EJECTOR MODEL OF 1903, #18XXX. This variant Hand Ejector was only made from 1903-1904, making even the standard version a scarce item. According to THE STANDARD CATALOG OF SMITH AND WESSON, 5TH EDITION, only 196 target versions of this model were made. This Model of 1903 was S&Ws first .32 S&W Long caliber revolver to have the now familiar cylinder release on the left side of the frame and the first of any S&W model to have the locking lug for the extractor rod under the barrel. This is a fine example with correct factory target sights, 6 inch barrel, round butt and beautiful condition pearl grips with deep dish gold S&W medallions. Interestingly, many S&W target models have extension grips of walnut or hard rubber. When factory installed, the serial number is placed on the front strap instead of the grip covered butt. This one has the serial number on the butt, indicating that it was never fitted for oversize target grips. Overall, fine blue with only some thinning/flaking to brown around the muzzle for about an inch or so, some similar light flaking to brown on the right side bottom portion of the side plate, a little wear to the bottom of the front strap and some edge wear on the cylinder. Has deep vivid case color on the trigger and hammer. Grips fit perfectly and are not cracked or chipped. Tight action, exc. bright bore, matching serial numbers on the frame, cylinder and barrel. This is one of the most rare and difficult S&Ws to locate as all being about 123 years out of production, survival rare cannot be large.
