"Serial number 99174. Made in 1944 with a 25-inch barrel that has a bright bore with strong visible rifling. This is a 7th series Nagoya ""Last Ditch"" Type 99 short rifle, so it has the simplified nose cone, a front sight with no protective wings, the non-adjustable peep rear sight, a simplified safety & a wooden butt-plate. Overall condition is very good with fading original factory finish across the metallic parts & wood furniture that is in great shape but has been refinished. The Bayonet Stud Band/End Cap is numbered to the receiver serial number. The Chrysanthemum has been completely ground.
