The Browning Superposed American Waterfowl Mallard Limited Edition is a true collector-grade over/under shotgun that represents the intersection of fine firearm craftsmanship and American sporting heritage. This example, number 137 of only 500 produced, remains in as-new, unfired condition and includes its original factory exhibition wooden display case—an increasingly scarce package for serious Browning collectors.
Built on the legendary Browning Superposed platform, this shotgun reflects the enduring design genius of John Moses Browning. The Superposed was Browning’s final firearm design and remains one of the most respected over/under shotguns ever made. Known for its strength, reliability, and refined handling characteristics, the Superposed has long been favored by discerning upland hunters, clay shooters, and collectors alike.
This limited edition “American Waterfowl Mallard” variant celebrates North America’s rich waterfowling tradition. The shotgun features beautifully finished exhibition-grade walnut with classic Superposed lines, a round knob long tang semi-pistol grip, and finely executed metalwork. The engraving theme and presentation concept elevate this piece from a fine shotgun to a display-worthy heirloom firearm.
The 28 inch ventilated rib barrels provide excellent balance and swing dynamics, making the gun equally suitable for sporting use or collection. The white Bradley style front bead paired with a mid rib bead offers a traditional yet highly functional sighting plane. Factory chokes are Modified and Full, a versatile combination for upland birds, clays, or traditional field shooting should the next owner ever choose to take it afield.
Mechanically, the shotgun utilizes the robust Browning Superposed boxlock action with automatic ejectors and a single selective trigger.
