This Rizzini Custom Grand Regal Round Body represents the upper tier of modern Italian gunmaking a low production, exhibition grade shotgun built by Rizzini for display at major trade shows. These are not standard catalog guns; they are built to demonstrate the full capability of the maker, combining elevated wood, fine engraving, and precision mechanical execution.
Built on Rizzini’s elegant round body boxlock action, this gun balances beautifully between the hands while maintaining the strength and reliability of a modern Italian sporting arm. The receiver features deep relief scroll engraving by Master Engraver Bottega Incisioni Cesare Giovanelli, a name respected in Italian engraving circles for bold, sculpted scroll with strong depth and traditional flow. The engraving extends seamlessly across the receiver, trigger guard, long tang, forend iron, and grip cap a hallmark of a true custom exhibition build.
The metalwork is complemented by a stunning set of upgraded Turkish walnut stocks, hand selected for figure and contrast. The wood is finely checkered at 26 lines per inch, offering both secure handling and refined aesthetics. The straight, even grain through the wrist transitions into rich marbling and depth through the buttstock, giving the gun the visual presence expected of a custom Italian over/under.
The 29 inch barrels are topped with a solid, flat, hand filed rib, a detail that reflects traditional craftsmanship and careful finishing.
