Description:
22 inch barrel is marked 30 US under the handguard. Receiver is marked 30 on the barrel bridge, has the two line Winchester patent address on the left side and was made without a saddle ring. Modified pinned blade front sight with the rear sight removed to accommodate a Redfield 70 series side mount receiver sight. Walnut finger grooved fore arm with matching top hand guard and straight grip buttstock fit with carbine style trapdoor buttplate. Metal surfaces show about 65% original finish with handling marks and areas of thinning turning brown. The bore shows strong rifling with a heavy frosting/light roughness overall. Stocks are solid and full fitting with typical wear and handling marks.
