Description: General Specs: Francotte, 1981, 12 Gauge, 7lbs. 1oz, Screw ins/M Chokes, LOP 14 1/4", DAH 2 1/8", DAC 1 3/8" Serial Number: 21570 Vintage Firearms is pleased to present this Francotte double gun, with gorgeous metal finishes. The factory finished barrels are near-perfect, with dense scroll border right along the breech, and a solid rib, with a unique matting pattern, that buries deep at the muzzle end with a brass front bead. There is a hole tapped for a mid-bead if the shooter would like one added. The show-stopping game scene engraving, with great use of “negative” space, giving a lifelike presence to the landscape and animals. Every area is engraved, but it doesn’t look crowded or overdone. One other area of detail that I appreciate about this gun is the way the craftsman designed the pattern of the checkering to meet in unique ways on the English stock on the bottom of the buttstock and at the top of the wrist. They are subtle hints to the care given throughout the process of design and execution for this functional work of art, from one of the most respected and storied makers in Liège, Belgium. Please enjoy the detailed photos and specifications provided.
