Offered for sale is a Smith & Wesson Model 17-4, chambered in .22 LR, featuring the desirable 8-inch barrel and classic blued finish. Previously known as the legendary “K-22 Masterpiece," the Model 17 is widely regarded as one of the finest .22 target revolvers ever produced.
This example is in very good overall condition. The blued finish remains attractive with normal handling wear consistent with careful use. There is minor discoloration visible on the trigger and hammer, typical of age and handling, and light carbon present around the breech, which should clean up with routine maintenance. No structural or mechanical issues noted.
The revolver exhibits the excellent balance, smooth double-action, and crisp single-action trigger pull that Smith & Wesson’s K-frame target revolvers are famous for.
