Description:
General Specs: Webley & Scott, 1982, .38 cal, 28oz. 5"
Serial Number:  88128

Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer this Commemorative Webley Mark IV; the Webley revolver was adopted as the British service revolver in 1887 and served that role until 1963. The Mk IV was adopted in 1899 and rose to prominence in the Boer War and thus is occasionally referred to as the “Boer War” Model. The Webley Revolvers earned the moniker of the “Webley Self-Extracting Revolver” for its top break action which ejects spent casings, thus quickening reloads. As a last hurrah Webley & Scott released the Commemorative Webley Mark IV, for the 100th Anniversary of the Mk IV, and one of the last 250 ever made. This example is in mint condition and appears unfired. It comes with its original wooden display case, which has done its job well accumulating a few dings and scratches throughout the years. The blued frame and black Webley grips suit this classic revolver nicely and sends the Mark IV off with dignity. These Special issue Webley’s are a rare sight on the internet so if your Webley collection is missing this “last Hurrah” act quickly and make it the center piece of your display. We at Vintage Firearms invite you to have a look at the detailed specifications and pictures below. Thanks for looking!
