Early model .30 WCF manufactured in 1926. 24" blued take-down variant Model 55 Sporting Rifle introduced to fill the gap between the Model 94 sporting rifle with its 26-inch barrel and the Carbine with its 20-inch barrel. This Model 55 is a special order edition with a deluxe checkered pistol grip stock and the more desirable higher priced nickel-alloy barrel. Equipped with swing swivels for a shoulder strap; wood, metal bluing, and barrel rifling are all in excellent condition. The rifle loads, levers, and fires as it should, a pristine example of a rifle 102 years old!
