FULL TIGER STRIPE MAPLE 1800 -1830s KENTUCKY RIFLE CONVERTED TO PERCUSSION, .44 CALIBER 55" OVERALL WITH 38" BARREL MARKED "J. MAGILL" LOCK MARKED "BERNARD PARKER" WARRANTED. OVERALL CONDITION IS VERY GOOD PLUS. METAL SHOWS AN EVEN ORIGINAL BROWN FINISH, SOME EROSION AROUND THE VENT FROM WHEN IT WAS IN FLINT. THE TIGER MAPLE STOCK IS IN GREAT SHAPE, NO CRACKS, CHIPS AND VIRTUALLY NO HANDLING MARKS or MARS. PROBABLY LIGHTLY CLEANED LONG AGO SHOWING NO EVIDENCE OF SANDING. THE BRASS FURNITURE HAS A NICE MELLOW PATINA. LOCK SEEM TO FUNCTION WELL WITH DOUBLE SET TRIGGERS. A VERY HANDSOME RIFLE, AS PICTURED AND RECENTLY FOUND IN AN ESTATE. QUESTIONS JUST ASK !
