Unless otherwise stated, our guns are not test fired as we have no facility for that. We inspect the firearm and it's action to see if everything appears functional but they are sold without warranty as we have no ammunition to test them with. Unless the item is listed as being sold AS-IS, there is a 3 Day Non-Shooting Inspection Period which starts when the item arrives at your dealer. No shooting, no disassembly. Visual inspection only to confirm correct item and that it matches description in major ways. Minor differences in subjective matters like percent of condition, etc, and personal opinions like ergonomics, fit to your hand or shoulder, etc, do not justify returns. Once you take the item home it is yours and no returns will be allowed. Items listed with AS-IS label are not returnable. We will not issue refunds for unknown mechanical problems. Description:
Here is a very cookl shotgun. It was made by Stevens under Savage Arms ownership and is a model 94C chambered in 12 ga 2-3/4". This shotgun is very unique because of the backwoods gunsmithing that has been done to it. The top lever which would normall open the action has been removed. The trigger guard has been removed and an entirely new mechanism for opening the gun has been manufactured and installed. It involves a whole new trigger guard assembly that is hinged and when actuated downward like a lever the action opens. The gaurd is spring loaded and closes automatically when the action is shut. There is an ejector assemble that remains functional. The barrel has been shortened to 18.25" and a front sight and rear express sights have been installed. This is a super cool gun. There is still work to be done. The hammer has been cut and a new hammer or a welded addition will be needed in order to easily and safely cock the hammer. It cocks fine but there is very little hammer there to use so it is difficult and easy for your thumb to slip off. The gun also has some wiggle when locked up. I have never seen anything like this before and probably never will again after this one is gone. Thanks for looking!
