Description:
FINE BISLEY, .38-40, 4 ¾” #265XXX, MADE 1905. A really nice example that still shows good blue on the barrel with the usual thinning/mixing gray on the left side from holster wear. The ejector housing has good blue in the upper/lower flutes with similar gray on the outside portion. Mostly gray cylinder with some thin blue in the flutes, exc. markings, correct two line barrel address on the barrel top, unaltered front sight, mottled uncleaned frame with a little color inside the loading gate and on the back of the hammer. Exc. un-marred cylinder pin, still some fire blue on the trigger sides. Right grip panel has a repaired crack in the center and some chipping at the bottom edge. Tight action with four clicks on the hammer and a bright excellent bore. Hard to find Bisleys with any finish left and this 121 year old example is much better then usually encountered these days.
