The Charter Arms AR-7 Explorer is a compact, lightweight .22 LR semi-automatic survival rifle that was produced from 1973 to 1990. It is a takedown rifle, meaning its barrel, action, and magazine can all be stored inside its hollow, foam-filled buttstock, which then floats.
