Description:
HERE IS A NICE ANSCHUTZ MODELL 1413 SUPER MATCH 54

The Anschutz Model 1413 Super Match 54 is a
premier, single-shot .22 LR target riflethat was manufactured in West Germany, predominantly in the 1960s and 1970s. It was considered a top-of-the-line rifle for three-position (3P) smallbore competition during its era.
Key Features and Specifications
  • Action: Based on the legendary Match 54 action, which is known for its high quality and robust construction.
  • Trigger: Often equipped with the 1407-U9 "hair trigger," with pull weights in the low ounces. Some models may feature the 5039 double-set trigger.
  • Stock: Features a specialized, heavy, and adjustable wooden target stock with a cheek piece, designed for prone, kneeling, and standing positions, usually featuring a butt plate with a hook.
  • Barrel: Typically a 26-inch cold-hammer-forged heavy barrel.
  • Usage: Designed for ISSF (formerly UIT) disciplines.
Differences and Evolution
  • 1413 vs. 1813: The 1413 is an earlier model (1960s-70s) compared to the 1813 (1980s), which features a faster lock time, the 5018 trigger, and an adjustable cheek piece.
  • 1413 vs. 1411: While sharing the same action, the 1413 is designed with a, often heavier, 3-position stock with a palm rest and hook butt plate, whereas the 1411 is often considered the prone model.
  • Variations: Earlier 1413 models may lack the adjustable cheek piece that was introduced around 1973-74.
Performance and Value
  • Accuracy: Renowned for extreme accuracy; even older 14xx series rifles can compete with much newer models if the barrel is in good condition.
  • Ammunition: These rifles are often tuned for standard velocity match ammunition, such as SK Standard Plus or Eley.
  • Value: Generally valued between $1,100 to $1,400 for a well-maintained, original, and complete rifle (with sights), as of late 2016.
