I am offering this Colt Burgess Lever Action rifle. Caliber is 44-40. Serial number is 2498. 25 ½” octagon barrel. Made in 1884. This rifle is lettered to Colt Archive and Properties and it is original and correct. This rifle is a beautiful even patina. It is not blotchy with spots all over it. I think this rifle is unfired. It has a mirror, shiny bore, like new. For a rifle that was made in 1884, which is 142 years old and survived many years of black powder. The metal is very smooth with no scratches or dents in it. The wood also is original with no scratches or dents in it. Also, it has a excellent wood to metal fit with no chips or cracks. For the Colt collector that not only wants a collection but wants the best of the best, this is the rifle for them. I would grade this rifle to be 98% overall. These Burgess rifles were a wonderful design. They were way ahead of their time. If interested, call me and I will answer any questions.

The firearm may be returned for any reason, buy the buyer must notify the seller within three (3) calendar day inspection period.
The buyer must start the return within the next four (4) calendar days to receive a complete refund, less all shipping, transaction fees and FFL charges. On a return, the buyer must not remove the firearm from the FFL premises without approval of the seller. Once the firearm has been reeived by the seller and inspected, a prompt refund will be issued. Shipping must start within one week of receipt of the item. The return shipping must be of equal shipping level, including insurance. The return item MUST be in the same condition as when shipped to the buyer. This is an inspection period only, a gun is not to be fired or disassembled. Sellers written permission is required to allow the buyer to take down a takedown model during the inspection period. Upon the receipt and inspection of the returned gun, the seller agrees to issue a prompt refund.
