Offered here is a Civil War era Belgian Tanner & Co. percussion musket of the type imported for use during the American Civil War, in which it may have seen use with either the Union or Confederacy. It shares strong similarities to the Belgian Model 1857 Infantry Rifle-Musket. This old musket is right out of the estate of an 80 year collection. The lock reads "TANNER & Cie". The bottom of the stock has period carved initials "W.t." ahead of the trigger guard. The gun has a proper "battle worn" appearance. The lock works nicely with crisp clicks, with an absent percussion nipple insert. As an antique, this can ship directly to your doorstep in most states!
