Description:
Winchester Model 42 Standard Grade.. Made in 1947, one owner. Has a 28 inch barrel, no rib, silver front bead, full choke, 3 inch chamber. Test fired and functions well. Will stand a thorough cleaning. The wood is solid showing no cracks or repairs. Has multiple handling marks on buttstock and forearm. The factory buttplate is in excellent condition, almost pristine. Metal is in good condition, but has bluing wear(see pictures) on sharp edges, bottom of receiver where it was carried, magazine tube. The barrel at the muzzle is showing the most wear and has freckling, although not deep. Would refinish nicely if inclined to do so, or shoot as is. A very solid gun for being 79 years old.
