The Cobray M-11 family traces its origins to designs produced in the United States during the late 1970s through the early 1990s by Cobray Company and associated manufacturers. While the name “M-11” is often associated with compact military/LE submachine guns, Cobray also produced semi-automatic pistol variants in the same lineage that were marketed to civilian shooters. These pistols were part of a broader era of innovative compact firearm designs that emphasized high magazine capacity in a compact package, appealing to shooters interested in defensive semi-automatic pistols and collectible historical designs.
Description
This used Cobray M-11 high-capacity semi-automatic pistol is in better than average condition, exhibiting very good bore condition, reliable mechanical function, and attractive overall appearance with only a few light handling marks.
The pistol features a Parkerized finish on both the frame and upper receiver for enhanced corrosion resistance and durability. The rear sight consists of a fixed square notch and aperture built into the back plate of the frame, while the front sight is a post with protective wings mounted on the upper receiver, providing a clear and durable sight picture.
A bolt cocking knob on top of the receiver allows direct manipulation of the action, and spent cases are ejected out the right side during operation. The pistol is fed by detachable magazines (one 15-round magazine included) and the semi-automatic action functions as expected with smooth manual operation.
The 5.5" threaded barrel exhibits a shiny bore with good rifling, indicative of solid internal condition. The pistol grip is integrated into the magazine well with a textured black backstrap, providing a distinctive look and functional grip surface.
