Description:
The S&W Model 52 was designed as an autoloading alternative to revolvers for the Bullseye Practical Pistol competition. They were produced to exacting standards, and in some ways, paved the way for autoloader acceptance at the competition firing line. They are based upon the 1911 design and require the use of wadcutter loaded cartridges to allow the slide to cycle them as the 1911 has a fairly short cycle distance. .38 Special
