Description:
This U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1898 is in fair overall condition, showing moderate wear and handling marks consistent with age, military service, and long-term storage. The metal surfaces exhibit visible finish wear, and the stock shows scattered dings, scratches, and general handling marks from honest use. The bore is shiny with good rifling, which is a strong feature for a rifle of this vintage. The barrel does show some pitting, consistent with age, but this does not detract from the presence of good internal rifling. Markings remain legible, and the rifle retains its classic military profile and historical appeal. None
