Description:
This 39-2 is in excellent condition with a perfect bore and chamber. However, someone has removed all the finish on the slide and slide stop (looks like they used Naval Jelly), an so the gun needs some refinish work. If I were going to keep it I think I would have the slide and slide stop hard chromed as it would make a handsome 2 tone gun. Mazazine has already been refinished and looks like a million dollars (see photo). Or, just use it as is as a "truck gun". The 39-2 was the first double/single action semi auto commercially available in the US after world war II. The first military one was the German P38. The 39 S&W is my favorite carry gun (I just do not need 17 rounds to get the job done).
