We wish to help you improve your collection and make both parties happy. Description: Our research indicates that this Winchester Model 70 Featherweight was manufactured in 1961. Chambered in .270 Winchester, it has a 22" barrel. This Model 70 Featherweight reduced weight with a FWT barrel profile, hinged anodized aluminum floorplate and buttplate and a drilled bolt knob. It also retains its hooded front and original adjustable flip-up rear sight. The walnut stock has checkering around the grip and forearm. Sling mounts are present. This rifle also comes with a Bausch and Lomb Balvar 8X Scope with tapered cross hairs. The scope is paired with Bausch and Lomb scope mounts and rings. The barrel's rifling is clean and crisp. The bluing on this rifle is in very, very nice condition. There are no scratches or handling marks seen. There is some anodizing loss present on the absolute edges of floorplate. The buttplate's coloring also shows wear. The stock in in very good condition with some light handling marks but no cracks. There are also some areas where the outer finish has thinned in areas of high touch. Please see pictures for details. All used firearms should be inspected by a qualified gunsmith prior to firing.
