You are looking at a Browning A5 16 gauge made in May of 1941. The browning A5 was made by Remington during WWII as Belgium was occupied by Germany. This shotgun has many scratches on the stocks and what i think is freckling on the receiver though it could have been done intentionally with a electro pencil to stop glare from the sun. The freckling on the receiver is mainly on the top and appears to have been finished over as it is not brown. It is not unattractive at all. The barrel’s freckling is very light and no where near as prominent. The 26" barrel is a fixed Improved modified choke. The stock is the beautiful knob type stock.
