This is the Smith & Wesson Military & Police Target Model of 1905, 4th change built circa 1926. In excellent condition the metal surfaces retain about 92-95% of the original blue finish showing silvering around the muzzle with scattered light freckling on the barrel and patches that are moderate on the upper left frame. The serrated trigger and hammer show slightly muted case-colors and the checkered walnut diamond around the screw escutcheon stocks rate near excellent with slight wear and contusions. The inside left stock is inscribed "John Arthur Stone". It is equipped with square notch rear target sights. The action functions properly with correct indexing, timing and a tight lock up. An excellent example of the scarce target Model of 1905. FFL or C&R Price: $1,295.00 Curio/Relic: Yes |
