Description:
The Colt Bisley, introduced in 1894, is a target-shooting variant of the Single Action Army revolver. You’ll find it features a distinctive lowered hammer spur and modified grip angle, specifically designed for competitive shooting at England’s Bisley range. It’s manufactured in 18 different calibers with barrel lengths from 4.75″ to 7.5″. With only 45,000 units produced until 1912, these precision-engineered revolvers showcase Colt’s evolution in advanced target shooting design, marking a significant chapter in firearms development.
This gun has a nice smooth acition with tight lockup and little cylinder play. It appears to be a gun that was holstered a lot and shot little. The bore shows some pitting, but the rifleing is still in decent shape. The girps are original Colt, but the emblems are very worn. Screw heads are in very good condtion. See photos,
