Description: The Springfield Model 1855 Pistol-Carbine was the last officially adopted single shot pistol for the united states armed forces, using the same priming system and projectile as the model 1855 Rifle. Overall condition of this example is very good, considering its age, with no significant sign of corrosion externally. Internally, the bore has very worn rifling and moderate corrosion with no severe pitting. The stocks are in fair condition, with a crack forming on the left side of the forestock and the attachment screw of the buttstock is stripped, necessitating a temporary fix of double sided tape until it is repaired.
