Stevens Arms & Tool Co., Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts, this model features the classic tip up break open action that made the early Stevens rifles both simple and dependable for small game hunting and late 19th century target shooting. Markings include the J. Stevens A&T Co. barrel stamp with the April 17, 1894 patent date. The action appears complete, with original hammer, trigger, and lever. Wood is solid with expected handling marks for its age. Metal shows a uniform antique patina throughout. The rifle presents well as a collectible example of early American rimfire history.
