"SN: 53754. Made in 1880. 45 LC caliber with a 7.5" barrel. This is an early black powder frame that still has the origin al; one piece wood grips. The grips show normal handling wear and still has some of the original varnish., The metal of this gun has an even smooth gray to brown patina. This gun is all matching including the cylinder . The bore of this gun has some pitting in the grooves, but overall, it is a pretty decent bore. Accompanying this gun is a factory letter confirming the configuration. This gun was shipped to Schoverling Daly & Gales in New York on June 23rd of 1880 in a shipment of 20. Schoverling Daly & Gales was one of Colt’s distributors. Very good all correct early gun!
