#1220, Holland & Holland, 98 New Bond Street, London; A H&H 577/500 #2 Black Powder Express Rebounding Hammer Toplever Double Rifle with Ammo, It has their "Solid Self Locking Vertical Grip", It has double underlugs with an extension from the rear lug that protrudes into the standing breech and is locked in place with a locking vertical bite that moves with the opening of the toplever, This is Patent #324 and this gun was the 530th made with this particular Patent, 28" Henry's Patent A&T (Arthur Adams & Joseph Tate - Barrel makers & riflers) Damascus barrels which carry the #7888, I presume that is the number of barrels made under the Henry patent, Full length rib with 1 standing sight with a platinum V, Action inscribed "Holland & Holland", Deeley & Edge Pull Down Lever release forend, Horn grip cap, Shadowline cheekpiece, Sling eyes, 15 1/8" LOP over a Silvers 7/8" pad, It comes with the original checkered horn buttplate, 10 lbs., Percussion style fences, 65% coverage of classic H&H scroll engraving including the hammers, top strap, trigger guard and forend, This vintage gun has been completely refinished with fresh case colors, Rebrowned barrels, Refinished wood, All of it very well done and it appears to me to be done by a professional, There is zero primer burn at the striker holes, The bores are absolute very good with some pitting but the rifling is all there, This is a good looking and solid rifle in every respect from metal to wood. It comes with 14 loaded cartridges from Superior Ammo and 4 fired cases. All of the brass is Bertram and head stamped "577-500-No2" and it all remains as new. Here is first rate quality, style, grace, workmanship, handling and H&H romance from a great period at the pinnacle of sporting guns in the last years of the 19th century.
