This is a Colt SAA .45 1st Generation shipped in 1929 with 4 3/4" barrel in .45 Colt with Factory Nickel and with factory carved ivory Steerhead Grips. Comes with a Colt Factory Letter. It is in very nice original condition. All original parts and condition as shipped from Colt in 1929. Bore and action are excellent. Backstrap is Colt factory engraved "Russ Manuel" who was a Vaudeville performer back then. The gun was shipped to him. He and his wife Jerry used this exact gun on stage in their show.Their ad shows Jerry with the gun on her hip. The original cylinder has nickel flacking off from shooting. It comes with a spare brand new Colt cylinder that is mint and works perfect per my gunsmith's inspection. On close inspection the original ivory grips show some repairs from extra holes that were filled and repaired. Very nice original Colt SAA with provenance from back to 1929.
