Payment Types Accepted: USPS MO Description: Here is a really exceptional antique smith and Wesson double action top break in .38 smith and Wesson. Based on the serial number this gun was likely made in 1884. The mechanics are absolutely flawless and the timing on this 140 year old revolver is better than most new smiths today! This gun retains nearly all the CCH on hammer and trigger. The nickel plating is also in great condition with only minor corrosion noted to the left hand side of the revolver. It is evident that this gun was not extensively used. The bore is very good with no evidence of black powder fouling or corrosion. The same goes for the cylinders. The hard rubber grips are another high point and are perhaps the nicest hard rubber grips I have ever seen. Still legible is the micro printed patent date on the bottom of the right grip. Over all this is a stunning example of a fairly scarce 2nd model smith. Please see photos for any and all additional details. If more photos are required please let me know.
