This Remington Model 870 Express Synthetic is a 12 gauge pump-action shotgun configured with a 26 inch vent rib barrel, a 3 inch chamber, and a Flambeau Mad SuperMax Hevi-Shot Choke Winchester X2 installed. A single front bead provides a clear, simple sight picture. The chamber is marked for 12 gauge 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells; the barrel also notes that 3 1/2 inch shells are only for Super Mag receivers.
The action uses dual action bars for positive cycling and right-side ejection. A cross-bolt safety is positioned at the rear of the trigger guard.
