Savage model 1920-6 2nd variation. 24" barrel. No rear barrel sight. Lyman receiver sight. Gun is incompletely
original condition. Slender European walnut stock. Light contour barrel. Known as the first light weight mountain rifle.
My guess is that date of mfg. 1927-8. Metal Savage butt plate. Hook type sling fixtures. Bright bore.
