Moore 12-gauge double-barrel shotgun is an antique side-by-side hammer gun featuring 30-inch London Fine Twist barrels. The chokes are configured as improved cylinder and cylinder bore, and the barrels include a front bead sight. This shotgun has a plain metal butt plate, a smooth wood stock shaped in a Prince of Wales pistol grip style, and a matching forearm. The overall length measures approximately 46 inches, with a length of pull of 14 inches. Manufacture is estimated around circa 1880, and no serial number is present. The right barrel has a small dent near the muzzle. The stock shows evidence of a prior repair, and the forearm is missing its cap. The firing pins are absent, but the lockup is described as tight and the action cycles as intended. The bores remain in good condition with visible shine. This firearm is used and displays wear consistent with its age and configuration. Included components are limited to the shotgun itself with its original wood furniture and metal fittings. No accessories, case, or additional parts are noted. The gun’s construction reflects 19th-century London craftsmanship with fine twist steel barrels and traditional external hammers. Overall dimensions and mechanical details are consistent with period Wm. Moore doubles produced for sporting use in the late 1800s.
