The 500/416 Nitro Express is a rimmed cartridge based on the 500 Nitro Express cartridge case necked down to .416 caliber. It will duplicate the ballistics of the .416 Rigby. It will move a 410-grain bullet at just over 2,300 fps with about 5,000 ft-lbs. of energy at the muzzle. There is a lot of ammo available from Hornady, Norma, Nosler and Kynoch. This cartridge is African proven.
