Description:
Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt. This is a highly customized Ruger Old Model Blackhawk. This revolver was modified to use as a WAX BULLET Fast Draw Competition Gun. Action has NOT been converted to Transfer Bar System. Originally a 357 Mag, it is now chambered in 45 Colt. It has a 4-5/8" ALUMINUM 45 caliber Barrel. I believe these guns were first built in the 50s and 60s for Fast Draw Competition. They were fired against the clock, usually at a balloon immediately in front of the shooter. NOT FOR LIVE AMMO!!! For WAX BULLETS ONLY driven by a PRIMER ONLY!!! Trigger Guard has been cut away to Half Width on right side. Frame, Cylinder, and Grip Frame are Nickel. Barrel and Ejector Tube are Natural Aluminum. Frame is Flat Topped with no sight groove remaining. No Front Sight. Has an extra Fanning Hammer with a spur that points straight up. Some nickel loss on backstrap. Some corrosion on Ejector which can be polished off. From the Mike Stewart Collection. Barrel 4 5/8". No box. .45 Colt
