This is a good looking Model 1903 that has a 1-19 dated Springfield barrel mated to a 1918-made receiver. The metal retains about 90-92% of an arsenal-applied, WW2 era Du-Lite blue finish on the barrel, receiver, and stock furniture. The straight-handled bolt has a mottled gray patina along the body with smooth freckling along the handle as well. The rear sight windage adjustment screw is not functional. The walnut stock and dual clip handguard have a fairly thick added oil finish with some handling marks and small surface blemishes scattered throughout. A Benicia Arsenal rework stamp is present on the left side of the stock at the wrist. The stamp is legible, but the "B" was augmented by hand at some point. This is a good-near very good reworked Model 1903 overall. FFL or C&R Price: $895.00 Curio/Relic: Yes |
