Built with Krupp fluid steel barrels, this drilling remains in excellent mechanical condition with mirror-bright boresthroughout. The shotgun barrels are choked Full and Full with 2 3/4" chambers, and the rifle barrel is 8x57R, making it both practical and historically correct. The action is a high-quality German design with double underbite locking and a Greener-style crossbolt, providing extremely solid lockup. The gun is tight on face, with no loose ribs and no cracks to the wood. Engraving consists of elaborate game scenes and floral scroll, complemented by a bolstered and scalloped action. Additional high-end features include a set trigger, cocking indicators, and a sliding top-tang selector that activates the rifle barrel and simultaneously raises the rear sight—classic German engineering. Equipped with a claw mounting system (claws not included), allowing for period-correct optics installation. Furniture includes a horn trigger guard, adding to its traditional aesthetic.
