Colt Model 1849 Percussion Revolver 31 cal Bore Exc, Mech Exc tight crisp action, Grips are original near Exc with 60% original varnish and fit to metal is excellent. Has a 4” Oct barrel with brass bead front sight and excellent 2 line colt address marking on top. The frame has the colts patent marking on the left side. The cylinder has 75% scene and is number matching to the rest of the pistol Serial#140886 Mfg’d 1859.The ramrod is matching numbers and the wedge is 40840 mismatch but close, probably a mistake made at the arsenal. Metal overall has a dark blue brown patina finish with traces of some very fine pitting or surface rust. The brass has a patina finish .
