Description:
For your consideration, a Winchester model 9422 XTR chambered in .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle. This piece is a commemorative celebrating the 1985 semisesquicentennial of the Boy Scouts of America. At left, the French greyed receiver is decorated with scenes of canoeing and hiking bisected by an inset of R. Tait McKenzie's iconic sculpture, The Ideal Scout -all bordered by figure eight-knotted rope and the twelve points of the Scout Law. At right are scenes of rustic open fire cooking and an encampment separated by an inset of the three-fingered Scout Sign -all bordered by figure eight-knotted rope and a truncation of the Scout Oath. A selection of knotwork adorns the trigger guard portion of the lever as well. The lever, buttplate, hammer, and barrel bands are likewise French greyed. A medallion is inset in the right stock.
