"Serial No. 506716, manufactured in 1912, chambered in .30-06 with a 24"" round barrel marked “S.A. / Flaming Bomb / 5-12." The bore is good, showing frosting in the grooves while retaining strong rifling. Metal surfaces have thinned to a mottled grey patina on the receiver, consistent with age and service. The stock shows expected handling wear and impressions, with a faint G.H.D. cartouche still visible. Overall presentation is honest and representative of an early Springfield service rifle. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
