"SN: 72. Made in 1899. 7.63 Mauser caliber with a 5.5" barrel. Very fine condition with over 70% of the original blue finish. This gun does not have the milled paned and has a flat profile frame hence the collector’s term “flat side" This is an early gun with the large Ring hammer. There is a “DV" mark on the left hand side of the barrel which was the Italian Navy’s acceptance mark. The Italian navy contract guns were in there own serial range starting at serial number 1, so this is the 72nd gun in the contract. There was a total of 5003 in the contract. This is a very fine example and all original.
