Winchester model 1897 pump 12 gauge shotgun has a 32' barrel marked MOD. The bore looks especially good for its age. The bolt face appears smooth. The shotgun takes down and assembles back easily. I believe the shotgun to be manufactured around 1918 by it's serial number but I can't guarantee that. There are a couple marks on the metal close to the front of the receiver and there is also a spot on each side of the stock close to where it joins the receiver that appear to be small cracks starting to develop. These all are visible in the pictures. I have owned this shotgun for probably 20 years and I do know it's history back to the 1960's and will be glad to share that with the purchaser.
