Payment Types Accepted: USPS Money Order, Certified Bank Check Description: This is a fine example of a Model 1950 which appears to be a Transition Model as the bolt handle is of the swept-back design that is featured on the Model 1952. The Model 1950 had the Butterknife Bolt Handle that pointed straight down. I have been told that the barrel is re-blued, though I was never told this when I purchased it and really never gave it a thought. The Butterknife Bolt Handle is blued. I did some research which shows that it was not common for the US models. They were usually in the white. However, Transition Models may well have had blued Bolt Handles, as was also seen on special order models. The wood has some handling marks, small dings here and there, which is to be expected on a rifle that's nearly 75 years old. There are no deep scratches nor gouges in the wood. The bore is excellent. Bright with well-defined lands and grooves. I have fired about twenty rounds through it and it's an excellent shooter. I really don't believe that it's seen much use. The swing-mount is made by Pachmayr and functions well. As you can see in the photos, it has a purplish hue to it. The scope is a vintage Weaver K6 that still has fine clarity. It has fine crosshairs. The double-set triggers functioned flawlessly. If you're looking for an absolutey flawless model, this is not the rifle for you. If that's what you want, be prepared to spend twice what I'm asking. If you'd like a beautiful old-timer that's got that sleek European look, and that shoots really well, you're in the right place--especially at this price. Payment will be in the form of a USPS Money Order or Certified Teller's Check (may take a couple of days to clear my bank). I will ship from my FFL Dealer to the FFL Dealer of your choice. Shipping cost is included in the price.
