.44 cal, #3257, 7 1/2 inch barrel, blue and case color finish with brass trigger guard and back strap, 1 piece walnut grips, US marked, frame/back strap/trigger guard/wedge all match, no number on loading lever, number on cylinder not readable, 1848.
Condition: very good bore, iron is mottled gun metal gray with scattered oxidation, brass was cleaned long ago and is regaining its aged look, some shrinking on the grips and wear on lower left grip and chip on toe of right grip, very good mechanically, very good marks.
