32011- CIVIL WAR U.S. MODEL 1840 MUSICIAN’S SWORD AND SCABBARD. 34” o/a with 28” blade stamped on ricasso “US/G.W.C./1864” and on the reverse “MADE BY/AMES MFG. COO./CHICOPEE/MASS”. Nickel plated steel scabbard with brass mounts. Brass hilt with “A.D.K.” Ordnance Inspector’s initials on outer guard. All original excellent blade and hilt with nice markings. Brass a mellow original patina and blade with original polish. Scabbard with wear and old dark storage patina but dent free and it should clean well. Nice Civil War dated original Ames Musician’s sword. $550.
