"Serial No. 53, manufactured circa 1886, chambered in 8x60R with a 26" round barrel. The bore is very good, showing strong and well-defined rifling. This rifle displays honest use and service wear throughout, with handling impressions visible on the stock that are consistent with its age and long military life. Factory markings on the receiver are faint but still discernible. Notably, this example shows no evidence of ever having a handguard, a characteristic that differentiates it from later Portuguese-pattern rifles. Overall condition is solid and representative of an early Kropatschek service rifle. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
