Quality Hardware & Machine Company (Quality H.M.C.) produced around 6% of WWII M1 Carbines (approx. 360,000 units) from 1943-1944, making them a desirable, somewhat scarce manufacturer. As a prime contractor, they produced receivers and utilized parts from subcontractors like Inland and Underwood. Most surviving Q-HMC carbines were arsenal-rebuilt, often featuring mixed parts, Type III barrel bands, and adjustable sights. .30M1
